Today is the day when More Than Meets the Eye #28 will be released.
In other words, MTMTE Season 2 is going to start! After, to me, the non-really-exciting-event that was Dark Cybertron, I am so excited for MTMTE to continue!
Here I look back at some of my favourite MTMTE covers from "Season 1". 2 of my favourites were #7 and #18, but on the whole most of the Milne covers are pretty darn nice. There were some instances where I have opted for "Cover B" because I felt that convoyed the interior story a little better.
So here they are, my favourite MTMTE covers from Season 1.
Thanks to Maz for helping me obtain the covers for #1E, #3A, #9A, #10A and #17A (did I miss any?).
Oh and here is the #28 cover that I'm planning to get....

Wow. Thanks for keeping track man! hahaha....
ReplyDeletei'm with you on the dark cybertron, wasn't anything i was too impressed with, the latest rid issue had too much of a -istation feel to it for me too, i was enjoying the story before dark cybertron, but we'll see how it goes from here
ReplyDeleteYup, the MTMTE story before Dark Cybertron was some of the best TF fiction I have seen in 30 years. Dark Cybertron was just another big smack down with a lunatic who wants to rule the universe, meh.
DeleteI did buy individual issues of RiD during the Dark Cybertron run, but only because if I didn't, MTMTE would feel "incomplete" over the run. Now that it's done, I won't buy individual issues of RiD anymore.
I can say wholeheartedly that MTMTE 28 is a complete and powerful return to form, picking up exactly where 22 left off. I have no concerns going forward!
ReplyDeleteBrando, just keeping track as it helps me spot upcoming covers I think you'd like me to pick up if they aren't available where you are :)
All the best
Maz
I agree with your analysis of #28. It's like Roberts didn't miss a beat and just continued off #22. Right from the very first panel, it was good. And I re-read it back to back twice!
DeleteThanks for keeping track Maz. Here in HK, impossible for me to get incentive covers from the comic shops (there are just 2 in the entire HK) and not enough of an English reading fan-base of individual issues to justify them ordering enough to be entitled to incentives...
