LD cover featuring Shockwave's box art, 49-Laserwave MIB and USA boxed Shockwave
First off, this is the USA box. It's one of the most desirable USA boxed pieces out there and for years and years, a piece in good condition can fetch up to US$300. However, I think the Zhong Jin KO in recent years has sort of dented the price and appeal of this piece. I bought this piece in 2004 / 2005, and so am 100% sure it is original and it still looks lovely to me.
This is the back of box - again dedicated to my friend Ginraii.
This is the Japanese box.
As can be seen, the colour tone is slightly different from the USA box.
Back of box, again, for Mr J. heh.
This is all the paperworks Laserwave came with - it is one of the rare few vintage Transformers that did not come with a sticker sheet - there is just 1 sticker, the Decepticon insignia on his chest and that is factory applied.

Needs some Quakewave ;)
ReplyDeleteyou're right, Quakewave would probably shake things up a little...
DeleteI can't believe how much smaller the Japanese box is.
ReplyDeleteThe Jap box is compact and just the right size for him. The USA box has a large hole in the styro on the right which is nothing but air.
