Fortress Maximus has emerged from... his box. Here are some shots of the guy, some close up, some far out.
We start with an interesting fact - once the Master Sword is assembled (originally came in 2 separate pieces), it can no longer fit inside the box if you also have all pieces of the styrofoam inserts. Because of the way the Master Sword is made, it is not possible to detach it after assembling it.
This is what I mean...
C-114 accessories and paperworks.
Further close up of bio-card. Apparently, he is called "Forteresse Maximus" in Japan.
For the extremely fussy paperworks completists and junkies, it is also worthwhile to note that C-114 came with this little piece of extra instructions (very reminiscent of G1 Optimus Prime and Megatron also having extra little white pieces of instructions in addition to their 'standard' instruction sheets).
Close up of the Japanese paperworks, Fortress' (Cerebros') master sword and the often missing guns for Fortress' (Cerebros') and Grommet. I'm going to use "master sword" to refer to Fortress' (Cerebros') sword and "Master Sword" to refer to the huge ass sword for Fortress Maximus.
Further close up of Fortress' (Cerebros') master sword and the often missing guns for Fortress (Cerebros) and Grommet.
Another close up.
C-114's Master Sword, the largest TF sword in Takarian creation.
Date stamp on handle of Master Sword - "Takara, 1987, Macau". Now we know that Fortress Maximus is not American, not even Japanese, but Chinese.
Shots of Fortress (Cerebros), who transforms into the head of Fortress Maximus

Close up of Grommet head.
Now...... we come to the main event. Introducing, "Forteresse Maximus"!!!
The Master Sword is so long, its hard to capture it in the frame of the shot
You might mess with US Fortress Maximus, but you better think twice about messing with C-114: Fortress Maximus!
Close up of head (a Headmaster would be offended if I did not do close ups of their head)
Close up of front
Close up of shoulder
The shoulder armament opens up. This is where Fortress resides in city and battle station mode.
Close up of chest
If I'm not wrong, this is the only part of C-114 that is made of die-cast metal. Not that it really matters when he is all of 1.5kgs of tough plastic.
The spinning gear for the operation of the car lift in city mode. Because of its position, this is the most controversial part of Fortress Maximus, but in my view, no way as controversial as Scattershot should be.
Close up of fist
Close up of knee (now what was so interesting here that made me take this shot?)
Heli-pad. Puts Metroplex's heli-pad to shame, I reckon.
Right foot
Close up of left foot. I love how this is also featured in the box art.

Nice shot especially for the small master sword, i've seen a lot of different fortress maximus pics on the net, but none of them focus on the small master sword. So its really a great sight in seeing it on ur blog/
ReplyDeleteI guess its hard to focus on the smaller stuff when Fort Max is such a big and awesome piece. I'm still trying to come to grips with the "master sword" versus the "Master Sword" difference. heh.
ReplyDeleteI might guess that the next one, would be the comparison of Fort Max and Brave Max.
