Encore 23 is going to be Fortress Maximus (end 2012 release)

Perhaps the biggest TF news this year - Takara has announced that Transformers Encore #23 is going to be Fortress Maximus!!! It will come with all it's G1 accessories like the fabled Master Sword, master sword, Cog, Grommet and etc.

Like all Encores so far, its going to be released in a G1-styled box that is reminiscent of his 1987 release as C-114: Fortress Maximus in Japan. What a great time to be a Trans-fan.

Encore Fortress Maximus is slated for a November 2012 release, just in time to treat yourself to Xmas.

Rumour has it that eHobby, which has been silent for some years, is going to release an exclusive repaint of Fortress Maximus as Solar System Commander, C-311: Grand Maximus!

I've already pre-ordered 3 pieces to form a mega-humongous-gargantuar Autobot City with my existing C-114.

Regular Retail Price tentatively set as ¥35,000 (USD$430 approximately).

      At least mine is not going to be from BBTS. Because I just preordered mine, as I have one prophesied. :)

      Also, all of the sudden I picture you looking at my Fort Max (aka the "HD piece") with a feigned look of terror (as it is encased for its own protection). ;)

    After years and years of speculation it finally comes true. I still don't have all the accessories for my G1 Fort Max so I just may have to sell a kidney so I can afford to buy this reissue!

      Apparently it does come with the Pretender Shell and also the small master sword for the shell. Now Fortress (Cerebros) and Grand can fight it out!

    Oooooh, you are an evil one. The first panicked thought that jumped into my head was "Now I've got to get C-114 before this comes out!" I just need to stay off the interned on 4/1. :p

    You know, this brings up a question: how much will Fort Max be when he's reissued? I'm thinking $430 might be a little too high. For some reason, I'm thinking around $250-$300.

      In today's prices, I think it's certainly be more than $250, perhaps $300 is a minimum. I say this because (1) toy prices have been steadily rising in the past 3-5 years; (2) the Yen is consistently high; and (3) even C-27: Brave Maximus was already about US$250 back in 2001/2002 and he has a lot less parts (and no Mastersword) than FM / GM.

      If that's the case, then I guess I'm only getting one. If there is a eHobby version, I'll only be getting one of those as well. I just have to make sure that my wife never finds out...

      Difficult to evade wife's detection if its something so large. I generally can buy any TF I wish, but for anything the size of a FM/ GM, I too need consent from the wife first, more for space reasons than anything else (Hard Hero Unicron also needed consent... hahaha)

    You know, I dunno if this is a premonition of things to come,I know this is a April fools day post but, check out the preorder on BBTS - it's to come out on March 2013 and guess what... it is Encore #23... coincidence? Did Gok knew something he wasn't fully telling ;P either way, I AM SO FREAKING HAPPY! heheheheh :D

      Oh just one, my budget could not afford a second one. :D
      If they ever resissue in Grand Max colors though I know Ill splurge again for that one, but I need to save as Ill be on Holidays in the time of it's release. So ill need all the moolah I can get heheeh

      hey buddy, I've decided that I will not be getting the Encore. I know it's going to be released soon, and sure to be plentiful in HK, but space is an issue for me here - 4 Maximii is kind of enough (even) for me, hahaha

      I was thinking the same thing, Ark! But now I am wondering if his place is bugged or somebody from Takara Tomy is reading his stuff. Or maybe E has a spy-based job that has her sneak ideas into Takara Tomy and have them know what to do next?

      All I know is that there is a reason why I gave this preorder of mine a title (the third ever). That, and we need to also see if he has any superpowers when it comes to making things like this happen. ^^

      Oh... And did you get your vintage Soundblaster yet? I have found two, but the better of the two was eBay related and I am not sure if it is still there or not. ^^;
