Battlechargers Runamuck and Runabout

I just rediscovered a couple of days back that I have these two. I've always wanted them when I was younger because they were just so cool in the Marvel US comic series. Never got around to getting them, but now I have.

These are 2 near perfect specimens of Runamuck and Runabout. They have been opened, with stickers perfectly applied, but can still be displayed as if they were sealed.

Sweet.

MIB Headmaster Horrocon Apeface

Took a shot of this sweet gem today since I was digging around for Transformers.

This is easily one of my favourite G1 Transformers: Apeface!

Series 4 Targetmaster Pointblank

This is it. Coming full circle.

After searching for sometime for the correct piece, in the right condition and right price, I managed to acquire Targetmaster Pointblank, a piece I've been wanting since back in 1987.

It was quite fortuitous really. A seller on eBay had a Buy it Now auction with a Best Offer option for Pointblank MIB at US$199.99. The toy was of course gloriously nice, but the price was a little higher than I could (or maybe should) pay for Pointblank, however much I liked it.

So I gave it a shot and put in a best offer, thinking that there is no way the seller is going to accept it anyway. Much to my surprise, and delight, the seller did accept my best offer at US$115 for Pointblank MIB.

Shipping was really fast and within a week, Pointblank arrived.

I must say that this is the Autobot Targetmaster that I'm most fond of. He has the sleekest Cybertronian mode among the three (Sureshot and Crosshairs), and is probably the most well proportioned. Add that to the fact that his box art is well crafted and we have a winner.

I look at my Pointblank MIB and I know its destined to be one of the most cherished pieces in my Transformers collection.

Wow, rare Headmasters Highbrow MISB!

An ultra rare MISB Highbrow has been listed on eBay. Easily one of the rarer and harder to find of the 1987 Headmasters, this would be a great piece to have in a serious collector's collection. I have not seen many of these around over the years I have been collecting Transformers and this is certainly a good piece to be getting.

I think it will easily become even more valuable if the winning bidder were to grade it with AFA.

Nothin' stops the Juggernaut - nuff said!

I have since opened my Marvel Legends Series VI Juggernaut after I posted this. It is one sweet figure.

Since I've not seen pictures of it anywhere else (nor did I try to find some to see), I was most interested in the head-sculpt that is below Juggernaut's helmet. In order to maintain some verisimilitude of suspense, I will not post pictures of Juggernaut without his helmet in this post, although I don't think pictures of Juggy without his helmet would be that hard to locate on the internet anyway.

This is one hulking-behemoth of a figure...

Nothin' stops the Juggernaut!

Punisher vs the Juggernaut. Nah, puny punisher is not going to survive...

Batman vs the Juggernaut. I gotta say, Batman might have a chance (he'll find a way, he's the Batman after all), but then, they live in different universes.

Now, that's more like it. Thanos vs the Juggernaut. I'd have to root for Thanos for the sheer genius and physical powerhouse that he is (he did go toe to toe with the Power Gem wielding Champion in Thanos Quest don't forget)

Thanos, Juggernaut and Darkseid, three of my favourite rouges.

Transformers Henkei Strafe w/ Rocketbot - what a horrid figure

Gosh, what a horrid figure Ganbo Store exclusive Transformers Henkei Strafe is...

Ganbo Store exclusive Transformers Henkei Strafe (picture mirrored from Falcon's Hangar)

Plane mode (picture mirrored from Falcon's Hangar)

I wouldn't pick it up if it were throw my way. Certainly would not go to the trouble paying an arm and a leg to get it since it is an exclusive.

The most economic place to get this is probably Falcon's Hangar from Singapore, but even there its priced at SGD$150. Perhaps the only thing I like about this figure is its back story, which I must say is pretty innovatively tied into the G1 mythos and even utilises the fact the the Technobots were constructed within Unicron. Cyclonus was (re)constructed by Unicron. So, there is some resonance in using the Henkei Cyclonus mold for Strafe (the only Technobot that transforms into a plane anyway).

Here's the back story (mirrored without verifying veracity from OZFormers):

"Even now, the Cybertrons' new weapon, the Techbot Corps, is throwing itself into battle with the Destron Army. Suddenly, their sniper Strafe takes the full brunt of an attack and something extraordinary occurs.

The whole corps had maintained the coloration from their original forms, but their outer appearance was completely different. Every member of the Techbot Corps had long ago been reborn from the wreckage of Transformers who had fallen prey to the destroyer of space (uchuu no hakaisha), the Space Emperor (Seikanteiou) Unicron.

Now, according to the research of the Cybertrons' base computer, Teletraan 2, it seems Strafe has somehow returned to his original form. To a worried Supreme Commander Convoy and the rest of his fellow Techbot Corps members, Strafe says merely, "I feel younger than ever, and I'm aching to fight!".

Strafe has now regained the aerial speed of youth, clocking in at almost 1.8 times as fast as his old body! Let us follow the courageous Strafe's example and sortie!"

Ok, to a certain extent, that makes sense.

However, the-colours-of-this-figure-don't.

The colours are horrid. And look at that head sculpt. How could this, even remotely, pass off as Strafe?

"Hi, I am Henkei Strafe and my head-sculpt looks terrible and I come with a Targetmaster partner that is made of blink." (picture mirrored from Falcon's Hangar)
